In todays digital age its hard to ignore the influence that the internet has on marketing and modern business processes.
Consumers prefer to go online to find out information about local businesses rather than picking up the phone, or driving around looking for the right place.
Any business that does not have a well-designed, fully functional website risks losing tons of potential customers. So, to have more success in your business you will need to be a owner of a good, attractive & unique website.
Always keep in mind that your web site is your businesses digital identity.
We rely on getting to know our clients and understanding their personal preferences and business ethos as well as the functional needs of the website.
Our total web site solutions
will take care of everything for you.
Our sites are hand-coded to meet your precise specifications, so are not restricted by limitations of packages and tools. Blade Web Design can take care of everything, from initial website address or
domain (url) registration, to pro-actively
marketing your website once your site is live.
Because we offer bespoke development, we can be extremely flexible.
Unlike many other budget operators, we do not use "off the shelf" templates for our range of bespoke websites but instead rely on extensive industry experience and knowledge to quickly design and build affordable websites from scratch .
We do however also offer a range of "readymade" website designs for those clients working to a tighter budget, these are based on the bootstrap platform and offer the same sort of functionality as our bespoke range
Find out more about readymade websitesFollowing an intial telephone / video consultation to discuss the functionality, look and feel of the site, a detailed specification and costing is produced for the client to review, amend and agree.
The website address (url) is agreed and registered and a holding page set up with the client's basic details on a
web hosting account.
At this stage the customer will be required to supply us with provisional images and logos that are to be included in the website.
Please note we do request that you own the copyright to any images or logos supplied to us for inclusion in your website
A prototype is produced for review with the client. This is intended to define the 'look and feel' of the site.
Your website is a very personal matter and individual preferences vary hugely from client to client.
The initial set of prototypes is intended to identify a set of features which may then be refined into an acceptable design. Obviously, every client varies here, some have a very clear idea about how their site should look, whilst others have a total blank sheet and are open to a broad range of designs. Two rounds of prototyping are costed for, which is generally adequate for most clients.
Our bespoke websites are built to the latest standards using HTML5 coding and use CSS style sheets. Any desired addons can also be discussed at this stage Appropriate search phrases will also be researched and agreed, so that the website will achieve a reasonable position in multiple search engines.
At this stage, we also discuss the practicalities of the site, such as rate of change of the website content and how changes will be implemented along with identification and analysis of competitors websites
To enable multiple search engines to list your site we advise a basic pre-release of your home page with a "coming soon message" onto the internet under your chosen domain name, this will aid customers wishing to locate your page when the time comes for the full site launch
When an acceptable prototype has been agreed, the functionality is added, the system is tested and optimised for a wide range of devices such as mobiles, tablets and desktops, then optimised for search engines. At this point it is uploaded onto a hosting server and released onto the desired web address or (URL) and is made available to the general public to view
Following release, we will monitor and market the website, submitting to search engines as required. It should be noted that google currently seems to operate a penalty system (known as 'the Google sandbox') whereby new website adresses can take 6-8 months to reach a top 10 ranking. However, once links are established and the website is optimised, sites can reach this position well within those timescales.
We will perform weekly monitoring of the websites position and will continue to regularly promote and submit the site to search engines as part of the monthly
management service.
At Blade Web Design we can also offer a full monthly website analysis package keeping you fully informed of your customer trends allowing you to target those people who are visiting your website.
The first question we are often asked is "what will a website cost me" Compare it to buying a car, do you want a family hatchback, a utility vehicle or a luxury saloon car. Each is different , each will vary in costs, but they all get you from A to B. We can give you a very rough estimate over the phone, but the costs will vary on many aspects of what the site needs to do. Formal quotations are supplied only after our initial consultation.
As you can see there is really no typical website cost, as clients needs vary widely. You will also perhaps need to budget for website hosting, domain names and purchase of specific graphics and fonts,
Blade Web Designs has a selection of standard fonts along with royalty free images, but clients may find they also need to have an additional budget for photography, artwork and logo design. Please

All clients vary widely in the degree of involvment they require once the website is live. Some clients chose to leave the website "as it is", Others require frequent uploading of new images and revisions to textural content.
With a monthly management service including a pre-agreed level of change, Blade Web Designs will handle all of your updates and then re submit your edited website to all search engines for re listing of the new content.
